An Amazing DIY Blogger Bedroom

I am positively swooning over this bedroom.  It comes from the clever Jo from Nuestra Vida Dulce and she has done a brilliant job at pulling this chicness together.  All of that artwork?  She made it.  The bedspread?  A new purchase from West Elm.  And the gold lamps?  Well I'm not sure where they are from by I am LOVING them!

The Perfect View Into A Girly Bedroom

Say hello to Myka, one half the brains behind Sitting In A Tree events.  She opened up her bedroom to Glitter Guide to talk all things style. Throw Cushion Tuesday: Be Stills Shop

It's time for another throw pillow store and a new name for this segment, I'm thinking Throw Pillow Tuesday (Corny I know!) Today this we are looking within Australia at the very sophisticated and chic Be Still Shops.  Helmed by Sarah Robinson her background as a Industrial and Graphic design has led her to do beautiful things with fabric and pattern.  The price tag is a little more than last weeks pillows but I think its well worth it.  Go over and check out her store here.

Instagram at A Wedding

This is Patrick and Shelly's wedding.  But instead of it being captured by the super skill of a photographer these images are coming straight from their friend Mariah and her Instagram.  I've got to tell you that I am loving the vibe Instagram gives.  The day was overcast but you wouldn't know from these pic's - they are looking perfectly quaint and charming.

LOVE AND POUTINE

There are two reasons Viva is completely head over heels about one of Ottawa wedding photographer Blair Gable’s recent engagement sessions. 1) Viva loves Elgin Street Diner poutine. 2) Viva loves when an engagement session really represents the couple and in some way tells you something fun about who they are.

Viva’s favourite weddings aren’t always the most glamorous or the most expensive. A wedding full of special touches that represent the couple are. And while the latest trends can be tempting, your wedding day should really include details that exemplify you as a couple - trend or not. Viva believes the same goes for your engagement pictures and this fabulous engagement session shot by Blair demonstrates just that.

After chatting with bride and groom-to-be Kaitlin & Keith, Blair discovered that they ended many dates with a late night poutine at none other than the Elgin Street Diner of course. And so the photo shoot begins. The video below by
James Park is a sneak peek at the behind the scenes. Be sure to head on over to Blair’s blog to view some of the very cool images taken of these soon to be newlyweds.

A Clever DIY You Could Try This Weekend

The weekend is nearly upon us and I have a brilliant DIY idea to share from A Beautiful Mess.  Inspired by her favourite song lyric and a surplus of art.  She made this clever little piece of art using Helvetica letter stickers and white paint.  Boy she's clever.

You can check out the full step by step here (PS - Does that make anyone else think of NKOTB? hahaha)  Or take a look at this little snapshot of the fun.

Emma and Andy's Perfect Summer English Garden Affair

As you know I am a total sucker for a happy wedding.  With bright and cherry decor and a couple that has some 60's style going on, this happy wedding from Retrosight is full of goodness.  Emma and Andy were married in Andy's parents garden with a distinct DIY feel.  Hundreds of yards of bunting, homemade ale, an italian ice cream cart and a blue grass band made the day feel special, unique and utterly beautiful! PS. For more real wedding fun check out here!
